Frontex enjoys a great degree of autonomy in its actions, without any real monitoring of its activities.

One of the campaign’s aims is thus to raise awareness among policy makers, especially parliamentarians, of the impact of Frontex’s actions on migrants’ rights (European and national elected representatives of the member states of the European Union) and on the rights of third country nationals (ECOWAS elected representatives and nationals of African countries).

A working group has been created to reflect on actions to be taken so that politicians take into account the issues regarding fundamental rights and relay the concerns raised by the campaign to an institutional level.
